Start by pressing your tofu for about 30 minutes to eliminate as much water as possible. If you don't have time to press, wrap is a paper towel and gently press to release as much water from the tofu.
Break up the tofu into small bits, I prefer small ground beef like bits, but feel free to leave in slightly larger chunks.
Add all the ingredients to the crumbles and toss to coat.
Let set for an hour. You can cook right away, but flavor will be better if left to marinate for at least an hour.
Preheat oven to 400º F
On a large sheet pan add about 2 Tbsp of olive oil and toss the crumbles onto it. I don't tend to use parchment here, as it helps crisp up the tofu and lead to a better texture.
Cook for about 20-25 minutes or until crispy and dark in color. I tend to cook mine about 30-35 as it makes the tofu even chewier and leads to an amazing texture. Keep an eye on it if cooking longer so the tofu doesn't burn.
Remove from oven and let cool. Feel free to serve immediately, but it is best in texture the next day. I love meal prepping this in large quantities. Either way, you can't beat this delicious eat!

Can i use this tofu beef with any sauce that i like? Thank you.
Absolutely! Pair it with any and every sauce. I just made this today with a sweet and sour sauce along with rice. So good!
Love this recipe! If I make this in large batches and freeze it, will it be ok?
Hi Abigail! Yes, I believe it should be just fine, probably even better after freezing tbh! I am SO glad you love this recipe as much as me 🙂
I’ve been looking for a recipe like this for so long! It’s easy and it tastes so good!! You should definitely try thus! I’ve added taco seasoning a few times to change it up and it’s perfect for “ground beef” tacos!!
Thank you so much Brittany 🙂
